Whenever I meet a new business or individual in need of a qualified accountant I often ask a simple question:

"Are your interests being genuinely looked after and has every effort been made to reduce your tax bill?"

Most of the time I am told that the current accountant needs to be ‘encouraged’ and asked by the client questions such as "What are the tax implications of..." or "How will my tax bill change if...". The most recurring question that clients ask their accountant is: "What can be done to reduce my tax bill?"

I am always surprised to hear that such questions are firstly asked by the client rather than being put forward and discussed by the accountant. Personally every time I deal with a client’s affairs I always ask myself a very simple question:

"What is the most relevant advice I can recommend
to this person to reduce his (or her) tax liability?"

My offer to you is very simple:

"You will receive, without asking, sound tax advice to help reduce your tax bill"

I am a Chartered Management Accountant member of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) with over ten years of accountancy experience.

The nature of the relationship I have with my clients is based on a very personal service where tax, financial and business advice are provided in a face to face meeting.

Although I offer all the services that you would expect from a qualified accountant my focus is on tax planning and tax advice.

What is tax planning?

It is about making informed decisions regarding the most effective option from a tax point of view: it is about being advised on the option that will cost you less tax and ensuring that you claim every allowance and relief available to you.

Tax is a very dynamic subject: it changes constantly and new law cases modify the interpretation of tax acts and statutory instruments that regulate the taxation of individuals and businesses.

I undertake continuous professional development on a daily basis to ensure I am keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and accountancy. I then pass this expertise to my clients to ensure their tax position is always the most efficient.

Can you only help me with tax advice?

Tax is where I focus but because of my professional background I have supported businesses managing their risks and improve their performance. Profitability analysis, financial planning and cash flow projections are all areas I have been thoroughly involved with and have advised several business owners.

Whatever stage your business is at, whether it is still on the drawing board, has just started, is growing or expanding, looking for a buyer, or is coming to the end of its natural life, I can help you find the simplest and most financially beneficial solutions.

What next?

I would like you to know more about how I can help you by talking directly to some of my clients and listen to their experience: I would be very pleased to provide you with direct testimonials of local businesses that are happy to be contacted and talk about their experience.

To give you an idea of the areas where I can help you I have prepared some simple factsheets around taxation of businesses and individuals that I would be happy to bring along should you wish to meet.

I do encourage you to give me a call on 01326 218306 and arrange an informal no obligation meeting where you can find out for yourself how my advice can help you and your business.
