John has over 30 years’ experience of accounting, finance, and tax matters, together with most aspects of commercial, marketing, and strategic management. He has done several successful business turnarounds, has held Finance Directorships in 6 companies (3 of which were significant businesses within a FTSE 200 industrial public company), and has also been Chairman of one company and Managing Director of another. He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Company Secretaries (now the Chartered Governance Institute), the Association of International Accountants,and the Chartered Management Institute, a member of the Institute of Business Consultants, and has a Masters degree in business.

He has a deep and practical understanding of the needs of businesses and their problems, having worked within the industrial, construction, engineering, commercial, professional, and service industry sectors. John specialises in micro and small to medium sized businesses, from start-up onwards.

John operates Certax Accounting (Derbyshire) a professional accounting and tax advisory practice.
